Trout louse [Salmincola edwardsii]

Description
This species is also a parasitic copepod, but primarily infects trout. It can be found in fresh waters of North America and Europe. The adults are about 4-7 mm long and have a similar morphology as the salmon louse. The trout louse also has a complex life cycle and needs a host to complete its development.
