Description
Atalacmea fragilis, also known as the Tropical Shallow-water Slit Limpet, typically inhabits shallow tropical waters. It is characterized by a flat, oblong shell usually measuring between 10-20mm. The shell is often cream or white, with a distinct slit-like opening (hence the name 'slit limpet'). This species is primarily found on the underside of coral or rocks, where it feeds on a diet of algae and detritus.
