Description

The Ascandra pratti, or the Tropical ascidian, is a species of ascidian that is found in tropical waters, particularly in the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. It is a filter feeder that anchors itself onto hard substrates, such as rocks or coral, and filters the water for food. The Tropical ascidian has a globular shape with an orange or red coloration.
