Striped Searobin [Prionotus evolans]
Description
The Striped Searobin, also known as the Common Searobin, is native to the eastern coast of the United States. It is a bottom-dwelling species found at depths up to 200 meters. The Striped Searobin has a distinctively striped body and large, wing-like pectoral fins that it uses to stir up sediment in search of food, which includes small fish and crustaceans.
