Description

The striped seabream, or Kamas lyra, is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Sparidae. It is found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Black Sea. This species is a demersal fish, meaning it lives and feeds on or near the bottom of seas or lakes. It is characterized by its silver-grey body with yellow vertical stripes and a black spot on the tail.
