Striped Guavina [Guavina micropus]
Description
Native to the eastern Pacific Ocean, it ranges from the Gulf of California to Ecuador. It is a relatively small species, with a maximum recorded length of 24 cm. This species is distinguished by dark vertical stripes running along its body. It is typically found in coastal lagoons and estuaries, preferring muddy or sandy bottoms.
