Streaked gurnard [Trigloporus lastoviza]
Description
The streaked gurnard is a small fish, usually less than 20 cm long. It is reddish-brown with a series of dark streaks along its body. Its large pectoral fins are brightly colored on the inside. It is found in the Eastern Atlantic, from the British Isles to Senegal, and in the Mediterranean Sea. It lives on sandy or muddy sea floors, at depths from 10 to 500 m.
