Description
Lucernaria janetae, also known as the Stalked Jellyfish, is a marine species that belongs to the family of Lucernariidae. It is a benthic species commonly found attached to eelgrass in the cold waters of the North Atlantic ocean. It is characterized by a bell-shaped body with a short stalk and eight arms each with clusters of tentacles. This species is unique because it does not drift like other jellyfish but rather attaches itself to substrate.
