Spotwing Searobin [Bellator xenisma]
Description
The Spotwing Searobin is a species of fish in the family Triglidae. They inhabit the Western Central Atlantic, specifically in the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. They are distinct by their large pectoral fins which have a dark spot at the base. They are known to live on sandy or muddy bottoms at depths between 36 to 183 meters. They are primarily nocturnal and feed on small fish and invertebrates.
