Southern Witch [Venefica tentaculata]
Description
The Southern Witch, or Venefica tentaculata, is another species of left-eye flounders belonging to the genus Venefica. This species is native to the North Pacific, encompassing areas from the Gulf of Alaska to Baja California. It tends to inhabit the demersal, marine environment at a depth range of 55 - 1,280 meters. The Southern Witch feeds on zoobenthos and reaches a maximum length of 37 cm.
