Southern Rockhopper Penguin [Eudyptes chrysocome]

Description

This species is distinguished by the irreverent crest of spiky yellow and black feathers that adorns its head. It has a bright red-orange beak, red eyes, and stands about 20 inches tall. They are native to the subantarctic waters and the Antarctic Peninsula. These penguins are known to be aggressive and highly social. They feed on krill, squid, and small fish.
