Penguins [Sphenisciformes]

Description

Sphenisciformes are a group of flightless birds known as penguins, characterized by their distinctive black and white plumage and their adaptation to life in the water. They are exclusively found in the Southern Hemisphere, with species ranging from the Galapagos Islands near the equator to the icy waters of Antarctica. Penguins are excellent swimmers, using their flippers for propulsion and their tails and feet for steering, and they feed on a variety of marine organisms, including fish, squid, and krill.
