Description
The South Georgia Pintail is a subspecies of Yellow-billed Pintail. It is a medium-sized duck with a long neck and a pointed tail. The plumage is brown with a yellowish bill. It is endemic to South Georgia Island. The bird is omnivorous, feeding on invertebrates, plants, and sometimes carrion. The species is considered to be of least concern, but threats include habitat loss and climate change.
