Softnose Skate [Malacoraja spinacidermis]
Description
The Softnose Skate, scientifically known as Malacoraja spinacidermis, is distributed in the Southwest Atlantic off the coast of Argentina. It is a benthic species inhabiting depths between 140 and 1,460 meters. It has a soft snout, small thorns on its body, and a pale dorsal surface with dark spots.
