Smooth Snipe Eel [Bathychaetus suillus]

Description
The Smooth Snipe Eel, or Bathychaetus suillus, is notable for its long, slim shape and smooth, scaleless skin. This species is predominantly located in the Atlantic Ocean, primarily found at depths of 500 to 5,000 meters. Like its close relative, the Rough Snipe Eel, the Smooth Snipe Eel is a predator, feeding on small marine animals. Unlike the Rough Snipe Eel, the Smooth Snipe Eel has a rounded tail.
