Short-Nose Dragonfish [Stomias brevibarbatus]
Description
This species is found in the deep sea, typically between 200 and 1000 meters below sea level. It is distinguished by its short snout and chin barbel. Bioluminescent photophores are used to attract prey. The Short-Nose Dragonfish typically grows to about 15 cm in length.
