Shaw's Sea Snake [Hydrophis curtus shawii]
Description
Shaw's Sea Snake is a subspecies of the Spine-bellied Sea Snake. It shares many characteristics with its parent species, including the keeled belly scales. Shaw's Sea Snake is found in the northeastern Indian Ocean and is most commonly observed in the Bay of Bengal. It is known to inhabit brackish environments such as estuaries and mangrove swamps, and feeds primarily on small fish.
