Description
Montipora monasteriata, or Sandpaper Coral, is a species of stony coral in the Acroporidae family. It is found in the western Pacific Ocean, specifically around Australia and Indonesia. The colonies form encrustations or flat plates, and the surface has small, uniform monticules. The color varies from dark brown to pale pink.
