Sandal Coral [Litophyton arboreum]

Description
Litophyton arboreum, commonly known as Sandal Coral, is a species of soft coral in the family Nephtheidae. It is found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region, typically in shallow waters at depths between 3 and 30 meters. The colonies form tree-like structures and are usually yellow or pink in color. They are nocturnal, retracting their polyps during the day and extending them at night to feed on plankton. The distinguishing feature of this species is its polyps, which are arranged in rows or bundles, giving the appearance of a 'sandal' shape.
