Rubber limpet [Leptothyra rubricincta]

Description
The rubber limpet, scientifically known as Leptothyra rubricincta, is a marine gastropod mollusk. It belongs to the family Colloniidae. These species are small and are found in the Eastern Pacific. They are usually found in shallow subtidal zones, often under rocks. They are distinguished by their oval to round shell, which is usually less than 10mm in length. The shell is often brownish-red or orange in color, hence the name 'rubber limpet'.
