Robust worm [Lanicola robusta]

Description
The Lanicola robusta, or the Robust worm, is a marine worm species endemic to the deep sea around the Hawaiian archipelago. Characterized by its robust, cylindrical body with numerous segments, this benthic polychaete thrives in abyssal depths beyond 3000 meters. The Robust worm is a detritivore, feeding on the organic matter that descends to the ocean floor.
