Ringed Pipefish [Doryrhamphus pessuliferus]
Description
The Ringed Pipefish, also known as the Yellow Banded Pipefish, is a marine species found in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. It prefers shallow coral reefs and is often found hiding within branching corals. Its body is long and slender with a distinctive pattern of yellow and black rings. It feeds primarily on tiny invertebrates which it sucks into its tubular snout.
