Description
The Amphimedon erina, also known as Red Sea Erect Sponge, is a marine sponge species found in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. This species is recognized by its erect, branching shape and its bright red or orange color. It is a filter feeder, extracting bacteria and other microorganisms from the water for nourishment. The Red Sea Erect Sponge prefers rocky substrates and is commonly found at depths of 10 to 30 meters.
