Description
Chloeia flava, commonly known as the Red Fireworm, is a species of polychaete worm in the family Amphinomidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region. This species is brightly colored, typically red with white bands. It is known for its painful sting. The worm is benthic and nocturnal, usually hiding during the day and emerging at night to feed on coral and other small invertebrates.
