Poor Cod [Trisopterus minutus]
Description
The Poor Cod is a small marine fish species found widely in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean, North Sea, Baltic Sea, and Mediterranean Sea. They are demersal fish that live close to the sea bottom, with a depth range of 10 to 200 meters. Poor Cod are characterized by their slender bodies, three dorsal fins, two anal fins, and a small chin barbel. They primarily feed on small invertebrates, such as crustaceans and polychaetes.
