Plate coral [Isopora crateriformis]

Description
Isopora crateriformis, or Plate coral, is a species of acroporid coral found in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the southwest and northern Indian Ocean, the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, and the Andaman Sea. It occurs in tropical shallow reefs on upper slopes and flat areas, and its colonies are composed of thin plates. Colonies of this species can be over 2 m wide.
