Description
Loimia echinata, commonly known as the parchment tube worm, is a marine annelid in the family Terebellidae. It constructs a parchment-like tube in sandy or muddy substrates where it resides. The worm has a segmented body, covered with short, stiff bristles. It uses its tentacles for filter feeding, capturing small particles from the water. The species is found in shallow coastal waters across the globe.
