Pacific Thorny Oyster [Spondylus princeps]

Description
A species found in warmer parts of the Pacific Ocean, particularly along the coasts of Central and South America. It has a large, rounded shell covered with long, sharp spines. It's a filter feeder, consuming a diet of small particles from the water column.
