Pacific Sea Slater [Ligia pallasii]

Description
Ligia pallasii, or the Pacific sea slater, is a species of isopod that inhabits the rocky intertidal zone along the Pacific coast of North America. It is capable of withstanding both high and low tide conditions. The Pacific sea slater is typically a dark brown or black color and can reach a size of up to 4 cm. It is primarily nocturnal, hiding in crevices during the day and emerging at night to feed.
