Pacific Rose Thorny Oyster [Spondylus crassisquama]

Description
A Pacific Ocean species, found from the Gulf of California to Peru. It has a thick shell with fewer spines than other species. The shell's color ranges from pink to red. It attaches itself to hard surfaces in shallow to medium-deep waters.
