Pacific Isognomon [Isognomon isognomum]

Description
Also known as the 'flat tree oyster', this species is native to the Indo-Pacific. They are found in shallow waters, usually attached to substrates such as rocks or the underwater parts of mangrove trees. They have an irregularly shaped shell, which is often encrusted with other marine organisms. The Pacific Isognomon feeds by filtering plankton and other small particles from the water.
