Description
The Opalescent Nudibranch, also known as Hermissenda crassicornis, is a small, brightly colored sea slug that is found in the Pacific Ocean from Alaska to Baja California, and also in the Sea of Japan. This species is typically found in shallow, intertidal waters, but can also be found at depths of up to 30 meters. The Opalescent Nudibranch is known for its stunning coloration, which includes a translucent body with orange cerata and blue lines running along the length of its body. It feeds on hydroids, anemones, and small crustaceans.
