Description
The Ocellate flounder, or Taeniopsetta ocellatus, is a species of lefteye flounder belonging to the family Bothidae. It is found in the Western Central Pacific, specifically in the waters off the coast of the Philippines and Indonesia. This species is often found in sandy and muddy bottoms of shallow coastal waters and is known for its distinctive ocellus or eye-like spot near the tail section. It can reach a length of up to 23 cm.
