Northern Witch [Venefica procera]
Description
The Northern Witch, scientifically known as Venefica procera, is a species of left-eye flounders. It is native to the North Pacific and can be found from the Sea of Okhotsk and the Bering Sea to northern California. It dwells in the demersal, marine environment at a depth range of 18 - 1,274 meters. The Northern Witch feeds on zoobenthos and measures an average of 80 cm in length.
