Northern Royal Albatross [Diomedea sanfordi]

Description

The Northern Royal Albatross is another large seabird from the Albatross family. It is similar to its southern cousin, with a predominantly white body and black upper wings. However, its bill is more of a creamy yellow with a dark tip. This bird breeds on New Zealand's Chatham and Auckland Islands and spends the rest of its time at sea in the South Pacific and Indian Oceans. It is also known to be monogamous and has a lifespan of up to 42 years.
