Newell's Shearwater [Puffinus newelli]
Description
The Newell's Shearwater is a medium-sized seabird of the shearwater genus Puffinus. It is black above and white below, and it has a strong, fast flight. This species is known to breed on the Hawaiian Islands, predominantly on the island of Kauai, laying its single egg in burrows in montane forests.
