Description
The Multi-Banded Butterflyfish is a small species characterized by multiple, thin, diagonal stripes across its body. It is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands and Johnston Atoll. The species inhabits areas with rich coral growth in clear seaward reefs. It feeds on invertebrates, algae, and coral polyps.
