Marbled Stargazer [Uranoscopus bicinctus]
Description
The Marbled Stargazer is found in the Western Central Pacific, specifically in the waters around Indonesia, the Philippines, and Papua New Guinea. They inhabit sandy and muddy bottoms near coral reefs and are known for their distinctive marbled coloration. Like other stargazers, they bury themselves in the sand to ambush prey, and they can deliver a venomous and electric shock.
