Description

The Longsnout Keyhole Limpet, Fissurella longirostris, is a marine gastropod mollusk also in the family Fissurellidae. It is distinguished by its elongated shell with a hole at the top, which is more towards the front of the shell compared to other species. The shell is usually a cream color with brown or black markings. It is found in the eastern Pacific Ocean, from Baja California, Mexico to Peru. This species inhabits rocky substrates in subtidal zones and feeds on various types of algae.
