Description

Puncturella is a genus within the Fissurellidae family, comprising species known as slender keyhole limpets due to their elongated, conical shells with a small keyhole or puncture at the apex. These limpets are distributed globally, inhabiting a variety of marine environments from intertidal zones to deeper waters. Puncturella species are adapted to life on hard substrates, where they use their radula to graze on algae and film of microorganisms.
