Longfin Herring [Herklotsichthys elongatus]
Description
Found in the Indo-West Pacific, from the Gulf of Aden to the Philippines and north to southern Japan. They are found in coastal waters and estuaries. They have elongated bodies and the upper part of the body is blue-green while the rest of the body is silvery white. They feed on small planktonic animals.
