Description

This species is characterized by its translucent, balloon-like body with two large lobes extending outwards. It is a type of ctenophore, or comb jelly, known for their eight rows of cilia used for locomotion. They can reach a size of up to 15 cm in diameter. The Lobed Comb Jelly is a carnivore, preying on small marine animals. It is mostly found in the cold waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, and North Pacific.
