Leathery Tonguefish [Syacium ovale]
Description
This species is distinguished by its oval body shape and smooth, leathery skin. It inhabits coastal waters, preferring sandy and muddy bottoms. The leathery tonguefish is found in the eastern Pacific Ocean and can reach a maximum length of 30cm.
