Keeled Mullet [Liza carinata]
Description
The Keeled Mullet is a species of ray-finned fish in the family Mugilidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region from the Red Sea and East Africa, to Samoa, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to New South Wales, Australia. It is a marine, brackish, and fresh water fish. It is often seen in schools near the surface. It feeds on benthic algae and small invertebrates.
