Jewel Damselfish [Microspathodon chrysurus]
Description
The Jewel Damselfish is also known as the Yellowtail Damselfish. It is a tropical fish known for its stunning blue color with yellow or golden tail. It is found in the western Atlantic Ocean, from Florida and Bermuda to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. They inhabit coral reefs and are omnivorous, feeding on algae and small invertebrates.
