Description

Microspathodon species are known for their robust bodies and vivid, often iridescent, coloration which can change dramatically from juvenile to adult. Inhabiting rocky and coral reefs in the tropical Atlantic, these damselfishes are solitary and have a diet that includes algae and small invertebrates.
