Japanese squat lobster [Munida japonica]

Description
The Japanese squat lobster is native to the Northwest Pacific, particularly around Japan. It inhabits depths of 290 to 450 meters. It has a reddish-brown color with a smooth carapace and long, slender claws. Its diet consists mainly of small invertebrates and detritus.
