Description

Also known as the 'Mnemiopsis leidyi', it is a species of tentaculate jellyfish often found in the Northern and Western Black Sea. It is characterized by its transparent, lobate body and can grow up to 12 cm in length. It is an invasive species known for its rapid reproduction rate and voracious appetite for zooplankton, which often leads to ecological imbalance. Its habitat includes both brackish and marine environments.
