Indian white prawn [Marsupenaeus indicus]

Description
A medium-sized prawn species that grows up to 180mm in length. They are native to the warm tropical waters of the Indian Ocean. They tend to inhabit sandy and muddy substrates in shallow coastal waters and estuaries. They are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of organic matter. They are characterized by their pale body color with a blue tint, and a rostrum bearing several large teeth.
