Impressed Odostome [Phyllonotus margaritensis]
Description
Phyllonotus margaritensis, or the Impressed Odostome, is a species of sea snail. It has a shell that is glossy and smooth with a chalky white color. It can reach a length of about 7 cm. This species prefers to inhabit rocky substrates and coral reefs, and can be found in the Western Atlantic, from Florida to Brazil, and throughout the Caribbean.
